Why You Should Ditch The Wedding Runner

Weddings are one of the most special days in your life and you want everything to be perfect. But no matter how much time you spend planning and making sure things are just right, there is always that moment when something goes wrong. I have seen brides roll out their runner with tears streaming down their face because it has ripped or got stuck on something. We’ve put together some alternatives for brides so that they can avoid these problems:

It’s time to ditch the aisle runner.

The traditional process of rolling out a runner for your wedding ceremony is often too much time and effort, not to mention it can be a pain for your guests and add an extra layer of stress on you. You don’t want to be stuck trying to manage the aisle runner while looking glamorous and making your grand entrance as husband and wife!

Even if you’re not worried about being tripped up by this runner that has been strategically placed in front of each row of chairs, there are still several reasons why ditching it might be the best option:

  • Your guests may trip over or step on it throughout the ceremony.
  • You end up spending money on something you’re just going to throw away after your big day (and if you don’t want that hassle after all that planning—or maybe even if there isn’t enough time for this last minute decision—we recommend renting)
  • The aisle itself looks clean without anything obstructing everyone’s view from their seats.

There are many alternatives to the traditional aisle runner. You can have it outlined with flowers, or have pre rolled out runner that you simply add colour to.

The aisle runner is a pain and doesn’t stay in place, in fact it gets dirty and damaged most of the time! Most importantly don’t forget there are other options to choose from when decorating your big day! There are so many ways to make your big day special without running into trouble.

Take it from us, we’ve seen some truly spectacular wedding receptions with runners! But don’t let that stop you from doing something different. There are lots of other ways to get creative and show off your style at the same time. Here’s a few ideas:

  •  Have it pre-rolled out for guests to walk on. This is especially great if you’re having an outdoor wedding ceremony, since it can add some flair without being too much trouble for your guests.
  • Use an acrylic runner instead of fabric—it’ll be easier for people get around on and won’t get ruined by food spills or drinks spilled by accident (you know what I’m talking about).
  • Have the aisle outlined with (faux)flowers. This is especially great if you’re having an outdoor wedding ceremony, since it can add some flair without being too much trouble for your guests.

So ditch the running and go for your special day with style
